Today, as families and communities across California gather to celebrate Labor Day, Governor Gavin Newsom has officially proclaimed September 2, 2024, as a day to honor and appreciate the contributions of workers statewide. According to the official proclamation, Newsom acknowledges the efforts of the workforce that “sustain our state and nation and fuel our prosperity.”
