Early Monday morning, Coachella Valley residents were awoken by the sound of gunfire in a quiet neighborhood, leading to a fatal discovery. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department reported that its deputies responded to a call at approximately 5:27 a.m. and upon arrival at a residence on Valley Road, they encountered a grim scene. A male victim, later identified as 58-year-old Juan Sanchez, was found suffering from gunshot injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
