A hiker collapsed on a hillside trail southwest of Menifee Tuesday, requiring first responders to carry out an airlift rescue operation. The “hiker down” call was received at 1:44 p.m. in the hills near the intersection of Heather Ridge Road and Otay Way, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
