A new 128,000-square-foot Target store will open next month at 3610 Peck Road, El Monte. This latest addition replaces the former Sears Outlet and is part of the El Monte Shopping Center. The Sears building was a community staple since the 1980s when the shopping center was expanded. Multiple houses occupied this site before the center’s expansion until they were demolished to make way.
