Authorities Tuesday were investigating a shooting that caused a lockdown at Della S. Lindley Elementary School in Thousand Palms. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department’s Palm Desert station responded to reports of a shooting in the 31000 block of Roberts Road at approximately 2:45 p.m. Monday, according to the department. The school, which is located at 31495 Robert Road, was placed on lockdown.
