Suspects arrested after $12,000 worth of stolen merchandise found in Pomona

Two suspects were arrested after police discovered thousands of dollars worth of stolen merchandise in Pomona.

The suspects were identified as Natassia De La Vega, 38, of Montclair and Bryan Valdez, 30, of Pomona, according to the Pomona Police Department.

On Oct. 6, police responded to reports of thieves stealing items from a parked vehicle. The suspects fled in a getaway car. Officers eventually located the vehicle and pulled the driver over.

While searching their car, police found around $12,000 worth of stolen retail merchandise inside.

Photos of the arrest show a large number of shoes, hoodies, T-shirts and more were stuffed inside an older-model Lexus sedan.

The two suspects were taken into custody and booked at the Pomona jail.
