Handsome Airedale terrier begs for his freedom from crowded California shelter

It is estimated that 25 to 30 percent of shelter dogs are purebred. Fortunately, many purebred rescue groups remove “their” breed from a shelter which frees up kennel space and buys time for another dog. Unfortunately, across the nation, the number of purebred dogs and puppies continue to struggle with finding homes after having been found as strays or turned into shelters by their owners, for a variety of not so well thought out reasons.
