Dutch Bros, the popular coffee chain known for its drive-thru service, is making its way to Riverside. An article from the Press-Enterprise states that a new location is planned near Walmart on Van Buren Boulevard.
The Riverside Planning Commission reviewed the proposal in September, with a public meeting held on September 12. After receiving approval from the Riverside City Council on November 19, the project appears to be moving forward.
Comments from community members share that a Dutch Bros sign was posted at the 0.75-acre site at the intersection of Van Buren Boulevard and Wells Avenue. The new-build construction will be a 950-square-foot drive-thru building.
For Dutch Bros, this marks another step in their rapid expansion across Southern California. The company has already opened several locations nearby, in Rialto, Eastvale, and Moreno Valley, with more on the way; in August, the city also approved another location on Magnolia Avenue.
