In a major development, law enforcement officials captured a fugitive wanted in California for vehicular manslaughter.
Jimmy Ray Whitehead, 62, was arrested early Thursday morning in Smith County, Mississippi, after an operation led by Smith County Sheriff’s deputies in collaboration with the United States Marshals Service. Authorities took him into custody at his residence north of the White Oak community at approximately 6:45 a.m.
