Another storm takes aim at Southern California after weekend rain, snow

A quick-hitting storm brought rain to Southern California on Sunday and dumped several inches of snow on the San Bernardino Mountains. Now, forecasters are monitoring another storm system slated to arrive midweek.

Snowplows were seen clearing the roads in the Running Springs area early Monday morning after the overnight snowfall. A winter weather advisory remains in effect for areas of the San Bernardino and Riverside county mountains until 4 p.m.

The system is moving out of the area Monday morning, but below-average temperatures are expected to linger.
