Corona Residents Arrested on Human Trafficking and Conspiracy Charges in Riverside County Crackdown

In a significant crackdown on human trafficking, Riverside County law enforcement officials have detained two Corona residents, Eldra Reese, 38, and Janin Wohlwend, 21, on charges that include human trafficking and conspiracy to commit a felony, authorities reported last week.

Following an anonymous tip-off last year, the Riverside County Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force (RCAHT) embarked on an in-depth investigation which culminated on February 27, 2025, with the execution of a search warrant at the suspects’ Aztec Circle home, during which several potential victims were discovered and four were interviewed so far, the Riverside Sheriff’s Office detailed in a recent press release.

The RCAHT, working in conjunction with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Gang Task Force, has been combating various forms of exploitation, including commercial sex trafficking of minors, forced labor, and other forms of servitude, since its inception in 2010. Suspects Reese and Wohlwend are currently facing serious felony charges: Reese for human trafficking, pimping, pandering, and conspiracy, while Wohlwend faces pimping, pandering, and conspiracy charges…
