U.S. Department of Education revokes waivers for California, Oregon colleges

WASHINGTON D.C. (FOX26) — The U.S. Department of Education has notified colleges and universities in California and Oregon that it has rescinded waivers that were using federal funds to provide services to illegal immigrants.

The grants were under the Performance Partnership Pilots for Disconnected Youth (P3) program, which is intended to allow states and localities to use federal funds to enhance systems serving disconnected youth.

The P3 funds are not meant to provide entitlements to illegal immigrants…
