Southern California man caught slashing ex-girlfriend’s tires, police say

A man in San Bernardino County is facing felony vandalism charges among others after home surveillance cameras allegedly captured him slashing the tires of his ex-girlfriend’s vehicle.

The April 22 incident unfolded at around 8:20 a.m., officials at the Upland Police Department noted in a post to X , formerly Twitter.

In the footage, the man can be seen bending down toward the front passenger side tire before leaving the camera frame and showing up again at the front driver’s side tire where he, once again, bends over and jabs the wheel with some type of sharp object.

When contacted by police at his home later, he denied the incident, saying he had been at his residence all morning, officials said.

When asked if he’d like to see video evidence of the vandalism, the man paused before asking if he could grab a jacket, which at least appeared to be the exact flannel jacket worn in the video footage…
