High Desert and Inland Empire to See Hottest Temperatures of the Year This Week

VICTOR VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A strong ridge of high pressure will bring unseasonably hot weather to Southern California this week, with temperatures peaking on Saturday, May 10, in both the High Desert and Inland Empire regions, according to the National Weather Service in San Diego.

The heatwave is expected to build through the latter half of the week, pushing temperatures well above normal across inland areas.

In the Victor Valley, highs will climb into the low to mid-90s by Saturday, with Victorville, Hesperia, Adelanto, and Apple Valley all seeing daily increases starting Wednesday. Temperatures in these communities will rise from the 70s and 80s midweek to the mid-90s by the weekend, with Apple Valley forecast to hit 94°F on Saturday.

Further south in the Inland Empire, cities like Riverside are expected to reach the triple digits, with a high of 100°F forecast for Saturday. Meanwhile, Palm Springs is projected to hit a scorching 105°F, the hottest temperatures so far this year…
