Canada’s largest Asian grocery store chain plans first Southern California store to open in 2026

IRVINE, Calif. — Canada’s largest Asian grocery chain, T&T Supermarket, has announced plans to open its first Southern California store in Irvine’s fast-growing Great Park community. Slated to open in Winter 2026, the 34,000-square-foot store will anchor The Canopy at Great Park, a retail development near the busy Great Park Sports Complex, which attracts over 8 million visitors annually.

The Irvine store marks T&T’s second U.S. location after its Bellevue, Washington debut in 2024. CEO Tina Lee said Irvine was a top-requested city by customers. The new location will feature a hot food bar, bakery, and exclusive Asian grocery items, and create 180 jobs for locals.
