Woman Arrested After Fleeing Hit-and-Run Crash Involving Golf Cart in Canyon Lake

CANYON LAKE, CA – Two women were hurt when a golf cart and a black Kia SUV crashed and the driver of the golf cart then drove off without stopping. A woman has been arrested during this event. The accident happened on Canyon Lake Drive on Saturday afternoon. It was quickly looked into, and Misty Farrand, 44, was arrested.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office (RSO) went to the scene of the accident around 5 p.m. on May 24 after hearing about a serious injury. When cops got there, they saw two adult women who were in trouble. The Canyon Lake Fire Department went right to work helping both of them. The women, who were in the golf cart, were later taken to a nearby hospital to get medical care. Though they were hurt badly, their injuries were not life-threatening, but the crash left them scared and in need of medical care.

According to the probe, Farrand, who was driving the black Kia SUV, hit the golf cart from behind as they both went south on Canyon Lake Drive. People who were at the scene of the accident said they saw the crash and noticed that the SUV driver did not stop to help the people who were hurt. Farrand instead ran away, leaving the women alone and hurt…
