Lassen County residents have the opportunity to meet Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco, who is campaigning for the California governor’s position in 2026, on Friday, June 6 at 5 p.m. at Jensen Hall on the Lassen County Fairgrounds.
Bianco, born in Utah in 1967, grew up in a small mining town where he developed values of integrity, perseverance, and personal responsibility. He was elected Riverside County Sheriff in 2018 during a challenging period for the department. Since taking office, he has focused on stabilizing finances, increasing staffing, and rebuilding partnerships with other law enforcement agencies. Bianco was re-elected in 2022 after navigating significant challenges, including civil unrest and a global pandemic.
His primary campaign priorities include public safety, affordability, education, immigration, homelessness, housing, agriculture, water, energy, insurance, emergency response, and transportation infrastructure.
