RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. — Two kittens found zip-tied together beneath a shopping cart in a shopping center in Riverside County are recovering and making “amazing advancements,” the Helen Woodward Animal Center said on Thursday.
The 3-day-old orange tabby pair, named Frodo and Sam after characters from “The Lord of the Rings,” and their two other siblings were initially brought to the Center last week by one of Blue Buffalo’s regional managers, who found the four kittens. The two siblings did not survive their injuries, Helen Woodward Animal Center said in a press release.
At the time of arrival, the tabbies still had their umbilical cords attached and were covered in fleas…
