Riverside, CA – A Whitewater man has been arrested in connection to a 2019 homicide in La Quinta, marking a significant breakthrough in a years-long cold case investigation.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, Jorge Huerta-Arias, 24, was taken into custody on Friday and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center on suspicion of murder. The arrest follows a renewed investigation into the October 26, 2019, shooting death of 19-year-old Anthony Carrillo of Cathedral City.
