Authorities in California are investigating two disturbing incidents in which wild donkeys were found shot and injured by arrows.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office said deputies at the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station were recently made aware of two cases of wild donkeys being shot by arrows, and investigators are now searching for suspects, as well as the injured animals.
“These troubling acts are being taken very seriously and deputies are actively assisting the California Department of Fish and Wildlife and the Riverside County Department of Animal Services in efforts to locate the injured animals and ensure they receive prompt veterinary care,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement…
