In a coordinated effort to reduce speeding and excessive noise along Orange County’s coastal cities, the Laguna Beach Police Department led a multi-agency enforcement operation on Sunday, June 29, targeting traffic violations related to speed and modified exhaust systems.
The effort, which spanned from San Clemente to Seal Beach, also included officers from Costa Mesa, Newport Beach, Santa Ana and La Habra police departments.
Officers made 138 traffic stops during the one-day operation, issuing 190 citations. Among these, 36 were for loud exhaust violations, including two vehicles referred to a State Referee for emissions violations. The loudest reading recorded was 121 decibels…
