In a concerted effort to stem the tide of retail theft, authorities in Perris launched a targeted operation resulting in multiple apprehensions. According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, the Perris Sheriff’s Station Special Enforcement Team, alongside Robbery Burglary Suppression Team and loss prevention staff, conducted the operation on July 10, focusing on the 3100 block of Case Road.
The initiative was a proactive stride towards mitigating the frequency of thefts that distress local businesses and compromise the safety of patrons. While monitoring the area, law enforcement personnel managed to observe and arrest several individuals engaging in theft, “Each suspect was apprehended and arrested without incident,” as per the official statement from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office. Among those detained were 40-year-old Miguel Corona for petty theft with priors, 58-year-old Edward Bryant for a probation violation and petty theft, 38-year-old Edgar Reyes for grand theft, and 43-year-old Michael Fuente, for burglary.
