Metrolink, the commuter rail service that operates in Southern California, including Los Angeles, San Diego, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties, launched new fare rates on July 1 that will be in place through the end of the year.
The changes are a result of the company’s efforts to make train travel more affordable and accessible. According to a press release, the new fares aim to simplify the ticket menu, introduce more deals and discounts and lower costs overall.
“We’re giving our customers more without charging more,” Doug Chaffee, Metrolink board chair, said. “By making fares easier to understand and more affordable, we’re helping their hard-earned dollars go further.”…
