Palm Desert Aquatic Center’s lap pool temporarily closed due to filtration issues

The lap pool at the Palm Desert Aquatic Center has been temporarily closed due to issues with the pool’s filtration system. Other amenities at the facility, including the recreational pool and the splash playground, remain open amid the summer heat.

Officials are aiming to soon reopen the lap pool on weekends once they gain approval from Riverside County health officials, according to Palm Desert Community Relations Supervisor Ryland Penta. Renovating the facility’s filtration system will also require a full closure of the aquatic center later this year.
