One person was killed in a violent collision with a semi-truck on a Riverside County freeway just before midnight Wednesday, according to reports.
Footage from stringer service KNN shows a sedan wedged deeply under the semi-truck’s trailer on the right-hand shoulder of the westbound 91 Freeway at La Sierra Avenue. The top half of the sedan was crushed back to the midpoint of the car.
Unconfirmed reports from KNN indicate that Riverside City Fire crews initially requested a truck for extrication, but it was canceled after the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. It was not immediately clear if there were other passengers in the vehicle.
Details remain limited, and authorities have not yet confirmed the stringer information to KTLA. However, footage from the crash aftermath and ongoing investigation suggests at least one likely fatality. The driver was not identified…
