Riverside County wildfire grows to nearly 1,100 acres, with evacuation orders and warnings in effect

A fire that started as two separate wildfires before they merged continue to grow overnight in the community of Aguanga, keeping evacuation orders and warnings in place in southern Riverside County.

The two blazes were reported at 12:35 p.m. Wednesday — the first in the area of Riverdale Drive and Highway 371, the second about three-quarters of a mile to the south at Bradford Road and Gelding Way — according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
