Orange County, CA (July 28, 2025) – A collision between a white sedan and a big rig on Interstate 5 North near Orangewood Avenue left at least one person injured on July 28.
The crash happened just after 2:15 p.m. when the sedan veered over the fog line and struck the rear axle of the big rig. Emergency medical personnel with the California Highway Patrol responded quickly and treated the injured driver at the scene. Due to the severity of the vehicle’s damage, the individual was later transported to a nearby trauma center for further care. CHP investigators from the Orange County division are reviewing surveillance footage and witness reports to determine the exact cause.
