Ex-Supervisor Andrew Do must pay $878,000 in restitution

On his way to serving five years in federal prison, disgraced former Orange County Supervisor Andrew Do was ordered to repay the federal government almost $900,000 on Monday.

At the restitution hearing for Do, 62, who resigned his seat on the Orange County Board of Supervisors in 2024, it was revealed that he must repay $878,000 in funds which were intended to provide meals to elderly Vietnamese-Americans during the coronavirus pandemic.

But most of the money paid to the Viet America Society – run by Do’s daughter Rhiannon Do, who was 19 at the time – went to other purposes, including buying a house for her and an $8,000 monthly salary for her…
