Suspects from Riverside and Moreno Valley Arrested for Ingenious Trailer Heist in Big Bear Lake

Two men have been arrested in connection with a cunning theft in Big Bear Lake after they allegedly bamboozled a seller out of his trailer during what appeared to be a routine sale. According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner’s Department, the incident occurred on the afternoon of August 9.

The victim, whose identity remains confidential, had listed his camping trailer for sale and agreed on a $3,000 price with the suspects, identified as Anthony George, 42, of Riverside, and David Marks, 30, of Moreno Valley, as reported by the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner’s Department. After paying cash, the suspects used the victim’s bathroom, only to subsequently abscond with both the cash and the trailer in a slick operation that left the victim momentarily unaware of the heist.

Following the initial report of the stolen trailer, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies carried out a thorough investigation, which led to a follow-up on August 13.
