Temperatures to soar over 100 degrees as SoCal heatwave peaks

A heatwave that is pushing temperatures across Southern California 10 to 15 degrees above normal should peak today through Friday, forecasters warn.

Not even coastal areas will be spared, with L.A. County beaches getting up to 84 degrees, and up to 89 degrees in Orange County. For downtown L.A. and the rest of the inland coast, expect highs to reach up to 98 degrees.

The valleys will see high temperatures from 95 to 103 degrees, and up to 108 degrees more inland…
