Fatal Pedestrian Collision in Lake Elsinore Prompts Investigation by Riverside County Sheriff’s Department

A devastating traffic collision in Lake Elsinore has left one individual dead. At approximately 11:01 a.m. on Thursday, deputies responded to the intersection of Via De La Valle and Plaza Valenza to find a pedestrian who had suffered severe injuries following a two-vehicle incident, as reported by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. Despite efforts by first responders to save the person’s life, they were pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased has been withheld, pending notification of their family.

The Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team has taken charge of the case, piecing together the events that led to the tragedy. Early findings indicate that along Via De La Valle, where the southbound vehicle was travelling, it rear-ended a parked vehicle before hitting the pedestrian.
