One person is dead and one person is hurt after a crash involving a Riverside County sheriff’s deputy in Cherry Valley on Saturday.
According to California Highway Patrol, a 41-year-old deputy from the Cabazon Station was responding to a call for service with emergency lights and sirens on just after 10 a.m., driving westbound on Cherry Valley Boulevard in his Ford Explorer patrol vehicle.
