The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose Friday for the 13th time in 14 days, increasing four-tenths of a cent to $4.697, its highest amount since June 7.
The average price has risen 8.3 cents over the past 14 days, including 1.3 cents Thursday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It rose three consecutive days, dropped two-tenths of a cent Sept. 2 and resumed increasing Sept. 3.
The average price is 5.3 cents more than one week ago, 22.7 cents higher than one month ago and 8.1 cents above what it was one year ago. It has dropped $1.796 since rising to a record $6.493 on Oct. 5, 2022…
