Kittens found zip-tied in shopping cart in May ready to be adopted

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A pair of kittens who were found zip-tied together in a shopping cart in Riverside County are ready to find their forever homes.

The orange tabby kittens, Frodo and Sam, were taken to the Helen Woodward Animal Center after they were discovered by a good Samaritan in late May.

The brothers officially became available for adoption on Friday after months of recovery and care by the center’s veterinary team.

Frodo and Sam are the only surviving members of a litter of three-day old kittens who were found abandoned and zip-tied together in a shopping cart in Riverside County.

At the time they were found, one of the kittens in the litter had already passed away and two others also died of their injuries shortly after they were rushed to safety…
