Riverside Woman Arrested, Accomplice Sought in Lake Mathews-Area Mail Theft Spree

Early this month, local authorities were dispatched to a quiet neighborhood in the Lake Hills area after reports of mail theft surfaced. On September 11, deputies from the Lake Mathews Sheriff’s Station zeroed in on the 13000 block of Carista Boulevard, only to find that the suspects had vanished into the night. Despite the setback, the station’s Special Enforcement Team launched a thorough investigation, which led them to Jessica Osburn, a 38-year-old Riverside denizen, as a prime suspect, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.

The investigation deepened, and the next day, Osburn was apprehended at her home on Fairmount Boulevard. A search of the residence uncovered not only evidence related to the mail theft for which she was initially sought, but also signs of broader criminal activity affecting residents in Lake Mathews, Ontario, Riverside, and Lake Elsinore. The findings led to her booking at the Robert Presley Detention Center on multiple charges.
