Authorities ID alleged shooter in Inland Empire deputy’s slaying, high-speed motorcycle pursuit

Authorities have identified the man who is accused of fatally shooting an Inland Empire deputy before crashing his motorcycle while trying to elude capture.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department told KTLA’s Lauren Lyster that 47-year-old Angelo Jose Saldivar of San Bernardino was the person who fatally shot Deputy Andrew Nunez on Monday.

Saldivar, whose motorcycle crashed after it was hit by another vehicle during a high-speed police pursuit, is currently hospitalized but will be booked for murder upon his release, the Sheriff’s Department added…
