RIVERSIDE, CA — A man was arrested in the city of San Bernardino on Monday, October 27, 2025, in connection with a shooting at a Riverside parking lot that left a man in his 40s in critical condition.
The incident was reported at approximately 5:56 p.m. on Friday, October 24, when the City of Riverside Public Safety Communications Center received calls regarding a man shot in the parking lot of a vacant building in the 6100 block of Van Buren Boulevard. Officers quickly arrived and located the adult male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Firefighter-Paramedics from the Riverside Fire Department provided immediate medical aid before the victim was transported to a local hospital. The victim currently remains in critical condition.
Detectives from the Gang Intelligence Unit and Specialists from the Forensics Unit took over the investigation. Following rapid actions by officers at the scene, a suspect was identified.
