San Jacinto Animal Shelter Urgently Seeks Local Residents to Adopt or Foster Large Dogs as Capacity Crisis Grows

The Riverside County Department of Animal Services reports that its shelters are over capacity, especially at the San Jacinto Valley Animal Campus. The shelters are currently at 270% capacity for dogs, with more than 1,000 dogs in the system. The department is seeking to have at least 30 large dogs adopted or fostered from the San Jacinto location by Thursday, November 6, 2025.
