Man arrested in Riverside County child exploitation sting faces felony charges

An Azusa man faces multiple felony charges after attempting to meet a person he believed to be a 13-year-old girl, who was actually an undercover investigator with the Riverside County Child Exploitation Team (RCCET), authorities said.

Victor Gabriel Perez, 45, began communicating in September 2025 through a social media platform with the investigator, posing as a minor.

The online interactions continued until Nov. 4, when Perez arrived at a prearranged location intending to engage in sexual activity, officials said. He was arrested on the spot by RCCET members and booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center.

Perez, a registered sex offender prior to this arrest, appeared in court on Nov. 6 and pled not guilty to all charges. He is facing counts including attempted child molestation, arranging to meet with a child for sex, sending harmful material to a child, and communicating with a child for sexual gratification…
