Rescuers save motorized paraglider rider from large palm tree in Southern California

Crews rescued a person who flew a motorized paraglider into a tree earlier this week.

Calfire-Riverside County Fire stated on social media that first responders were called to an undisclosed location within the city of Perris on Saturday; the time of the call was not stated.

When first responders arrived at the scene, they found a man in a “tree-mendous” situation, Calfire said, hanging 50 feet above the ground at the top of the tree with his vehicle.
