Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies are conducting a death investigation Tuesday morning after responding to a report of a deceased person in Rancho Mirage.At 8:18 a.m., deputies were called to the area of Monterey Avenue and Avenida Las Palmas, near the Monterey Country Club, regarding a deceased subject. Upon arrival, they located an unresponsive person who was pronounced dead at the scene.Multiple first responders and forensics teams remain on scene, with Monterey Avenue reduced to one lane as investigators work. A forensics cover has been set up in a planter adjacent to the roadway.The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department has not released additional details, including the identity of the deceased or the circumstances surrounding the death. The investigation is ongoing.
