Authorities arrest man in alleged burglaries across Ventura County
Authorities from multiple units coordinated to arrest a man in multiple suspected residential burglary cases in Ventura County and one in Orange County, according to a Ventura County Sheriff’s Office news release. The man is suspected of being part of a transnational organized crime group, authorities said.
On Aug. 7, authorities responded to a residential burglary call at the 2800 block of Via Camino in Thousand Oaks and began investigating suspects using covert surveillance and other tools, the release said. Detectives quickly connected that burglary to another burglary on July 30 and narrowed down the suspect to a 30-year-old Los Angeles man, authorities said.
On Oct. 9, authorities watched the 30-year-old man and two other men travel to Placentia in Orange County and on the next day caught the three of them committing residential burglary and arrested them, according to the release.
