A Lake Mathews man was taken into custody Tuesday in connection with an attempted homicide that occurred in August, Riverside County Sheriff’s officials said.
Deputies from the Lake Mathews Sheriff’s Station responded on Aug. 9 at 3:43 p.m. to the 22000 block of Gavilan Road after reports that an individual had been intentionally struck by a vehicle. Upon arrival, deputies found the victim, who was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department reported.
