On a desolate stretch of road in the unincorporated area of Riverside County, near Lake Mathews, an alleged incident of violence unfolded leading to the eventual arrest of 48-year-old Brian Paul. According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, on August 9, Brian Paul is accused of intentionally striking an individual with his vehicle in the 22000 block of Gavilan Road. The victim was hurried to a local hospital, thankfully with injuries not deemed life-threatening.
The deputies responding to the incident were met with the absence of the suspect, as Mr. Paul had fled the scene prior their arrival. It would be over three months before the law would catch up to him, during an unrelated investigation. This apprehension unfolded without incident, the authorities reported, leading to Brian Paul’s booking at the Robert Presley Detention Center for attempted homicide.
