AAA Warns Of Major Thanksgiving Traffic Across Southern California

AAA is urging Southern California drivers to prepare for significant delays as Thanksgiving week brings some of the heaviest traffic of the year. According to new data from INRIX, a national traffic analytics firm, major congestion is expected to hit beginning Tuesday and continue through midweek as millions take to the roads.The worst slowdowns are projected for Tuesday from noon to 9 p.m., followed by a second surge on Wednesday between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. Drivers should also expect heavy return traffic on Sunday as holiday travelers head back home.AAA’s Auto Club says several areas in both Riverside County and Los Angeles County will see severe slowdowns, with bottlenecks likely along the I-15 corridor in San Diego County and on northbound I-5 between Los Angeles and Bakersfield.
