Authorities continued their investigation today into the death of a man who was struck and killed by a train early Monday morning in Coachella.According to Lt. Deirdre Vickers of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were dispatched shortly after 6:15 a.m. following reports of a pedestrian hit by a train near Grapefruit Boulevard and Avenue 49.When first responders arrived, the man was found deceased, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials have not yet released his identity, pending notification of his next of kin.No additional details regarding the circumstances of the incident were immediately available as the investigation remains ongoing.
