Son arrested on suspicion of killing 70-year-old father in Riverside County

A 70-year-old man was found dead early Sunday morning in the unincorporated Mead Valley area of Perris, and his son has been arrested on suspicion of murder, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies from the Perris Sheriff’s Station were called around 4:14 a.m. to the 20000 block of Clark Street after receiving a report of an unresponsive male, the department said. When they arrived, deputies attempted lifesaving measures but the man, identified as Angel Gonzalez of Mead Valley, was pronounced dead at the scene.
