Orange County Schools Invited to Apply for Up to $525,000 in Innovation Grants

The Orange County Department of Education (OCDE) has launched the Innovation Funding Initiative. This program allows school districts in Orange County to apply for grants of up to $525,000. Applications opened on December 3, 2025. The goal is to support projects that improve student engagement and achievement in TK–12 schools. Districts must submit proposals by January 30, 2026. Awards will be announced in late February 2026.

The funding is part of OCDE’s 5-3-1 Strategic Plan. It aims to support the development and expansion of new educational strategies. Selected projects will receive funding for three years, from July 2026 to June 2029.
