Riverside County Shelters Waive Adoption Fees for Holiday Event

If you’ve been thinking about adding a pet to your family, Riverside County is making it easier this week. Animal Services is waiving all adoption fees from December 19th through Christmas Eve as part of its annual “Home for the Holidays” event.The fee waiver runs through December 24th and applies to both cats and dogs of all ages across the county’s four shelter locations. That includes the Western Riverside Animal Campus in Jurupa Valley, San Jacinto Valley Animal Campus, Coachella Valley Animal Campus in Thousand Palms, and Blythe Animal Shelter.Every adoption comes with the standard package you’d normally pay for: spay or neuter procedures, microchipping, vaccinations, and a collar with ID tag. The first 50 people who adopt a dog will also receive a free collar provided by DocuPet.The shelters will be open at different hours throughout the week.
