A 38-year-old man from Riverside County arrested earlier this week is accused of stealing nearly $100,000 from elderly victims over the course of several years, investigators announced.
On Aug. 20, deputies assigned to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office’s Palm Desert Station responded to the 100 block of Gold Canyon Drive inside what appears to be a gated community in Palm Desert on reports of “elder abuse,” officials said in a news release.
An investigation was opened into the suspect, now identified as Miguel Angel Gonzalez, a resident of Coachella.
Investigators did not provide any information on how Gonzalez was able to steal the money, nor did they say whether he worked for the victims in question…
